Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains what information ToolsTopus ("we", "us", the "Site") handles when you use our free browser-based tools, and how it is handled. The short version: almost everything you do here — resizing an image, converting a file, running a calculator — happens entirely on your own device. We built it that way on purpose.

1. Data we do NOT collect

When you use a tool on this Site — an image resizer, a PDF merger, a text converter, a calculator, and so on — the files and text you work with are processed locally in your browser using JavaScript and Web APIs (Canvas, Web Audio, Web Crypto, etc.). They are never uploaded to our servers, because in almost every case there is no server-side step involved at all.

We do not require an account, a username, an email address, or any personal information to use any tool on this Site.

2. Information stored on your own device

Some tools use your browser's localStorage to remember things between visits, entirely on your device:

  • Your language, dark/light theme, and privacy consent choices
  • Your favorited tools and recently used tools list
  • Data you explicitly enter into local-tracking tools such as the Habit Tracker and Subscription Tracker, which is stored only in your browser and is never transmitted to us

You can clear this data at any time using your browser's site settings, or the remove/reset controls built into the relevant features.

3. Third-party services

Google Analytics 4: when analytics is enabled, the Google tag loads only after your analytics consent. It measures page and tool usage with the public measurement ID G-6NM74K6HW5. We do not intentionally send files, file names, tool inputs, passwords, recovery phrases, or generated content to Analytics. Google processes Analytics data under its own terms and policies.

Google AdSense: advertising is currently disabled. If it is enabled after approval, Google code and ads load only after the required configuration and your advertising consent. Google and its advertising partners may then use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. You can review Google's controls at adssettings.google.com and its policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Processing engines loaded from a CDN: a small number of tools (video/audio conversion, some PDF rendering) need a genuine codec or rendering engine to work in a browser. The first time you use one of these specific tools, your browser fetches that engine (for example ffmpeg.wasm or the pdf.js worker) from a third-party content delivery network (unpkg.com). That request is made directly by your browser to that CDN and may be logged by them per their own policies; the file or text you are working on is not sent along with it.

4. Cookies

See our separate Cookie Policy for full details on what cookies are set on this Site and by whom.

5. Children's privacy

This Site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because nearly all processing happens locally in the browser and we do not operate accounts, we do not knowingly retain any data about any user, child or otherwise.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live and which services are enabled, you may have data-protection rights under laws such as the GDPR or Turkey's KVKK. You can withdraw the Site's optional consent at any time. If Google advertising is later enabled, Google also provides controls at adssettings.google.com. For questions about the operator, applicable roles, or exercising rights, contact [email protected]; legal assessment may depend on your circumstances.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Site's features change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
